how ironic to see a film of a 'rags-to-riches' story, sitting in comfort in reclining laz-e-boys in village gold class with pompous middle aged business types. hmm.
the performance of dev patel whom you'd know as anwar from skins as the lead character jamal was believable and it was easy to empathize.
the only thing that let it down was the whole 'M.I.A' soundtrack that accompanied it.
& wait a minute, isn't M.I.A Sri Lankan not Indian?
sellouts ha ha.
